Tourist destinations not to be missed on trips to Ca Mau Cape

Dat Mui, in Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau province, is the southernmost point of Vietnam, where the mainland reaches out to the sea. This is one of the prominent tourist destinations in Ca Mau with many beautiful natural landscapes and unique cultural experiences. Below are some of the prominent tourist destinations in Dat Mui:

1. Miniature panel with the image of a ship always facing the sea

The miniature panel (image of a ship) was newly put into service at the end of 2020, with the image of a ship always facing the sea as in the two poems written by Xuan Dieu about Ca Mau:

“My homeland is like a ship;

The bow of our ship is Ca Mau Cape”.

2. National Coordinate Marker GPS0001 (kilometer 0), the end of the Fatherland

Coming to Ca Mau Cape, visitors will visit the National Coordinate Marker GPS0001; the miniature landscape symbol of a wind-filled boat always facing the open sea; the Ho Chi Minh Trail End Point; the breakwater; the Hanoi Flag Tower; a panoramic view of the junction between the East Sea and the West Sea and enjoy the fresh specialties of the Cape.

National Coordinate Marker GPS0001 (kilometer 0) is one of the four extreme points marking Vietnam's territory on land. The northernmost point is Lung Cu Flagpole (Ha Giang), the westernmost point is Apa Chai commune (Muong Nhe, Dien Bien), the easternmost point is Mui Doi (Van Ninh, Khanh Hoa) and the southernmost point is National Coordinate Marker GPS0001 (Dat Mui, Ca Mau) - a place that every Vietnamese person wants to set foot on once./.

3. New sand dunes in Ca Mau Cape
The sand dunes of Mui hamlet are home to many small animals such as reptiles, rodents, insects; they are a safe buffer zone between the sea and the coast, with an irreplaceable ecological function. “Since the sand dunes were formed, many locals and tourists have come to visit, experience, and admire the beauty that the ocean has bestowed on Dat Mui,” Mr. Truong added.

4. SYMBOL OF THE SOUTHERN POINT OF THE COUNTRY

Revisiting Ca Mau Cape today, I was surprised by the many wonderful changes that Ca Mau Cape has undergone. When I arrived here, what really impressed me was seeing with my own eyes the majestic Hanoi Flagpole at Ca Mau Cape Tourist Area (Dat Mui Commune, Ngoc Hien District, Ca Mau Province).

The flagpole at Ca Mau Cape is located in the vast space of immense mangrove forests and the vast ocean. It not only bears the sacred cultural and historical imprint, demonstrating national territorial sovereignty, and the bond between “North and South”, but also carries the deep affection of the capital’s people for Ca Mau Cape – the southernmost point of the country.

5. Ho Chi Minh Trail End Point

The Ho Chi Minh Trail End Point is the highlight of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, the origin of the Vietnamese revolution in the two resistance wars against the US and France. The project started construction on February 15, 2017, covering an area of about 11,000m2, with a total investment of about 70 billion VND.
